The Challenge
An initiative relaunched and needed to appeal to a more youthful audience and create the opportunity for two-way communication. The website, blog and report series needed to unify the program.
The Solution
We first presented a design that looked lively, active and that would appeal to a range of users, from young to old. It was important to create something that was intuitive, since many audience members weren't well acquainted with technology. Then carried over the design to a blog and report design for their publications. We worked in items like blogs, a self-populating section for the most e-mailed items and for those items that the editors wanted to recommend.
The Result
An attention-grabbing site that can easily grow into an audience of next-generation users but that's easy enough for people with less technology experience to find information.
From the Client
Working with Talance on the redevelopment of our website was a pleasure. Not only do they have the requisite technical knowledge, which I would expect, but Monique and her team helped us reflect S3K's organizational mission and vision in our new site. She ˜gets it' that our website has to be an extension of our work and a vital tool for communicating with synagogues.
The website went from a static information source to an information gathering and dissemination tool. Six months after its launch, we're still getting comments from users about how easy it is to find information on the site - valuable information that's been buried for several years. We will be in continual conversation with Talance about maintaining a dynamic web presence.
