Virtual Classrooms

Talance's virtual classroom uses an enhanced version of ATutor, a leading learning management system (LMS) that lets both small and large organizations present their instructional materials on the Web or deliver fully independent online courses.

It's based in open source technology, which makes it a cost-effective tool that can take advantage of podcasts, video and audio as ways to engage with students for e-mentoring or online courses.

Feature Highlights:

Accessibility: This inclusive system reaches all learners, instructors and administrators, including those with disabilities who may be accessing the system using assistive technologies.

Low Cost: Custom tools with moderate functionality take between $200,000 to $500,000 and about 18 months to build.* Our open source technology lets you open your course in about two months and one hundredth of the cost.
Security: Login passwords are encrypted. Forgotten passwords must be reset, rather than retrieved by email, removing the possibility they might be intercepted when being sent over the Internet.
Work Groups: Learners can collaborate with others on course projects, communicate as a group, share resources and work together authoring project documents.
